Touring the
The historic background of this building originates at the height of economic prosperity derived from the salt which gave this whole region its name and can be traced back as far as 1807. The present structure was erected in 1845 and was used as a sawmill until 1962.
Between 1978 and 1982 it was used as showroom and gallery for various art exhibits. It was eventually adapted as a private residence in 1986 – with all modern comforts. The rear wall of the living room has the original bricking.
ENTRANCE
The entrance hall opens out to a spacious kitchen and dining room, as well as to the bathroom and WC. A glass wall separates this area from the upper floor where the private rooms of the owner are located.
LIVING ROOM
The living room is flooded with light and, thanks to the Windows on three sides, it provides a breathtaking panoramic view and the cluster of houses in Hallstatt, nestled against the mountainside. A large door gives direct access to the lakeside garden. The huge living room also comes with a large table and a sofa for relaxing.
KITCHEN AND DINING AREA
Cooking will be more fun than work in this brand new, high quality modern kitchen. You can choose between gas and electricity to prepare your sumptuous meals – fridge, oven, microwave and dishwasher are but basic standard offered along with everything you might need to enjoy a perfect dinner.
BEDROOM
The bedroom is furnished with a king size bed (180 x 200 cm / 70 x 79 inches / 5,9 x 6,6 feet). Enjoy the tranquilizing effect of the gently flowing water of the forest brook outside the window on tis way to the lake. A second door opens into the garden, with the lake beckoning you to an early morning swim.
BATHROOM
The bathroom with a separate WC is accessed from the hall. The bathroom consists of a bathtub with shower, wash basin and a washing machine.
SECOND BEDROOM
For 3 to 4 persons, a second bedroom with one queen-size bed (160 x 200 cm / 63 x 79 inches / 5,3 x 6,6 feet) is available. Windows across one entire side flood the room with light.
